Sunday 8 v 8 League
Our flagship, Sunday 8v8 soccer league, attracts soccer players with a wide range of talent from semi-pro and current collegiate athletes, to individuals looking to tune-up old soccer skills. With multiple competitive divisions, there is a place for everyone. We love this game, and the benefit of playing on state of the art turf fields allows us to run outdoor soccer leagues all year long. No more excuses and complaints about having nowhere to play. *The exception is Winter Season when games are played starting at 2pm.
Our top flight division, chock-full of former and current collegiate soccer players, current and former semi-pro players, as well as many former high-level club players.
While still composed of many talented players, this division is home to those who have been away from the game for a few years, don’t have the experience that many of the Division 1 players have, or simply don’t feel that they can keep up with the younger generations any longer. Make no mistake though, this is still a highly talented division.
Made up primarily of House Teams and other teams looking to play hard and have fun. Consists mainly of players that have very little previous playing experience, have not played in many years, or don’t feel they have the fitness to compete in the higher divisions.
*Actual divisions formed are dependent upon an appropriate number of teams registered to have variance in weekly matchups.
Fall 2022: September-November. Exact Dates TBD. Registration opening in July.
Winter 2023: January-February. Exact Dates TBD. Shorter 6-8 game season to help everyone crazy enough to get outdoors get their footy fix over the cold months. Games kickoff hourly starting early afternoon.
Spring 2023: March- May. Games kickoff hourly starting at 6pm until 9pm. Planned completion prior to Memorial Day.

How much Does it Cost?
Team Deposits Explained
To keep you from shouldering the entire cost of registering your team, we provide an option to register as your team with a deposit. This allows you to manage your team privately, but each player will pay a portion of the league fee. Due to the administrative work required the required payments per team will not equal the same amount as full payment upfront. Team Deposit Info
1) At checkout, select the number of players you expect to pay. This number does not limit the number of total rostered players you can have and you can still roster players that may or not be paying. As a general tip, we recommend if you expect to have 16 paying players, set your payment number to 14. People inevitably are unable to fully commit. In this scenario we will not collect more payments than the initial number of payments indicated.
2) To initially register, you will put down a $150 deposit which will hold your place in the league. We then use the number of players indicated in Step 1 to setup a team specific payment link for you to share with your team so they can pay the league directly. As the team manager placing the initial deposit, you do not need to make an additional payment; your specific share of the team fee will be deducted from the deposit and the remainder of your deposit returned to you once all your teammates have paid.
3) 50% of the payments must be received prior to Week 1 of the season. As the team manager, this is your responsibility. The league will keep you apprised as to who has paid.
4) At the conclusion of Week 3 games, any remaining balance will be charged to your credit card minus your deposit. If this balance cannot be settled, teams will be forced to forfeit future games until full payment is made.

To join a team or register individually, you are required to have a valid Metro East FA player card. $25 gets you set for 12 months from your first game. This is cheaper than the most popular local indoor facility and with 4 seasons annually, this equates to less than 50 cents per game. Your player card keeps us affiliated with US Soccer Federation through US Adult Soccer Association & Illinois State Soccer Association. This helps us bring you the best league experiences in referees and fields. Metro East FA does not see a penny of your fee, but it does help maintain insurance for the league as well as supplemental medical insurance for you if you should get hurt playing. You can purchase your player card when you register for either league.
